WE ARE
Collective Impact (CI) is an organization driven by the global youth to bring awareness and education on equality early on. The organization is dedicated to presenting to schools as part of their human growth and development programs, or talking from a teen’s perspective to young parents on the need to influence this change in children in their homes. We adhere to the belief that by providing children with accurate direction and non-judgemental influences, they can make inclusive decisions and enjoy the benefits of gender equality as they grow into adults.
PURPOSE.
The organization supports and empowers children by harnessing open conversations in schools or at home about equality, aiming to spread awareness and fight the stigmas attached to equality for all genders.
VISION.
Our vision is a world where young individuals join forces regardless of their gender and prioritize equality, empowered to openly speak up when inequality is present, while embracing the contagion of togetherness. CI works with schools and workplaces, virtually as well as in person.

What is the current situation?Currently, only 65% of nations worldwide believe that equality is important. Some individuals were raised in a certain way where equality is not important to them and it is our mission to educate everyone before they become set in their ways of thinking.

What drove the thought behind this initiative?Having participated in many activities and noticing the way certain individuals were looked at on teams, we were compelled to personally reassess the way our society looks at equality. While many individuals support gender equality, we haven't looked at the main issue. Over years of research, speeches, conferences, events, and more we have come to a conclusion that it is not only about empowering girls and pushing them to move forward, it is about educating all genders on equality early on. Once all genders understand that everyone is equal, our world can make more small steps to changing our society.

Where do you see inequality and where should girls and boys of the future focus to get past this situation of inequality?Individuals see gender inequality in their homes, textbooks, media, and communities everyday. People may assume that in a household the male should work and bring the money for the family, whereas the female should stay at home and take care of the house and children, but that is not the case. Collective Impact is here to make sure everyone understands the importance of equality and applies this information to their everyday lives.

Why do we need everyone supporting gender equality?Gender equality is not just a female fight, it is a collective initiative that we should all be striving to defend. Men make up 49% of the population, if we want a change, everyone should be part of the development.

What is the impact of this inequality? Where does it affect us as a community, as the world we live in today?"Inequalities continue to persist across the world, within and among communities. Inequality threatens long-term social and economic development and destroys people’s sense of fulfilment and self-worth. This, in turn, can breed many other issues. Most importantly, we cannot achieve sustainable development and make the planet better for all if people are excluded from opportunities, services, and the chance for a better life.
FOUNDER.
I founded Collective Impact in response to the inequality in my neighborhood & my own experiences, which opened my eyes to the issues surrounding inequality & bias. It is a global matter. We are here to shatter the stigma around gender equality & support each other by sharing stories of growth. I believe that if we approach this problem of inequality by educating individuals early on, we can rapidly attain gender equality in our world.
